Blue Mondays (16): Promise by Kristie Cook

Blue Mondays

Monday mornings are the toughest mornings. Knowing the weekend is over and you’ll have to go to school or work again… But here is my solution: Blue Mondays!  Every Monday I will pick an awesome book, which I hope will make the week almost bearable for you. Cause reading it will make you forget about everything else! And before you know it, weekend has started once again ^^

Promise by Kristie Cook

Alexis Ames has a life full of promise…but not all promises can be kept.

When Alexis Ames is attacked by creatures that can’t be real, she decides it’s time she learns who she really is, with or without the help of her mother, who guards their family’s secrets closely. After meeting the inhumanly attractive, multi-talented Tristan Knight, however, Alexis retreats behind her façade of normalcy…until she discovers he’s not exactly normal either. Then their secrets begin to unravel.

Their union brings hope and promise to her family’s secret society, the Angels’ army, and to the future of mankind. But it also incites a dangerous pursuit by the enemy – Satan’s minions and Tristan’s creators. After all, Alexis and Tristan are a match made in Heaven and in Hell.

First of all I’m sorry for not posting this yesterday, but I’ve been ill these past couple of days, so no working on the blog. But now I’m better and full with work-energy ^^ This weeks choice is an Angel and Demon fight with Romeo and Juliette tendencies. I loved every minute reading this book and was shocked by how it ended. This book gives the usual ‘good versus evil’ a delightful twist and I can recommend it to everyone who likes reading about angels, demons and romance. Plus you can get it for free at the moment! So everyone can enjoy it and forget that the weekend has ended ^^
