Blue Mondays (9): Spark by Brigid Kemmerer

Blue Mondays

Monday mornings are the toughest mornings. Knowing the weekend is over and you’ll have to go to school or work again… But here is my solution: Blue Mondays!  Every Monday I will pick an awesome book, which I hope will make the week almost bearable for you. Cause reading it will make you forget about everything else! And before you know it, weekend has started once again ^^

Spark by Brigid Kemmerer

Gabriel Merrick plays with fire. Literally.

Sometimes he can even control it. And sometimes he can’t. Like the fire that killed his parents.

Gabriel has always had his brothers to rely on, especially his twin, Nick. But when an arsonist starts wreaking havoc on their town, all the signs point to Gabriel. Only he’s not doing it.

More than Gabriel’s pride is at stake — this could cost him his family, maybe his life. And no one seems to hear him. Except a shy sophomore named Layne, a brainiac who dresses in turtlenecks and jeans and keeps him totally off balance. Layne understands family problems, and she understands secrets. She has a few of her own.

Gabriel can’t let her guess about his brothers, about his abilities, about the danger that’s right at his heels. But there are some risks he can’t help taking.

The fuse is lit…

And it’s time for yet another Blue Monday! Which book will I recommend for you guys to make the transition from weekend to Monday a little easier? It’s Spark by Brigid Kemmerer! This book will be out on August 28, so technically you have to wait for another day to look for this book, but I hope it’s worth waiting for. This book is the second book in the Elemental series (actually 4th, there are some extra’s). After having read the first book Storm (review to come as usual 😉 ) a couple of weeks ago I was blown off my feet and had to wait till now for the next book… So you guys can probably guess what I’ll be doing tomorrow, right?? 😉
