Yes, once again it’s that time of year. With all-nighters and cramming. With frantic study sessions. With heaps of stencils and books you still have to work your way through. With berating yourself for not having paid more attention in class. Every student knows it and dreads it: exam time. And since this will hopefully be the last time I have to go through this and didn’t prepare post before hand, I decided to take a short break from blogging till I have finished all and have my diploma in hand ^^ So I hope to see everyone once again in a couple of weeks. And for all my fellow students out there: good luck!
Blue Mondays (27): Let the Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger
Monday mornings are the toughest mornings. Knowing the weekend is over and you’ll have to go to school or work again… But here is my solution: Blue Mondays! Every other Monday I will pick an awesome book, which I hope will make the week almost bearable for you. Cause reading it will make you forget about everything else! And before you know it, weekend has started once again ^^

Seventeen-year-old Vane Weston has no idea how he survived the category five tornado that killed his parents. And he has no idea if the beautiful, dark-haired girl who’s swept through his dreams every night since the storm is real. But he hopes she is.
Seventeen-year-old Audra is a sylph, an air elemental. She walks on the wind, can translate its alluring songs, and can even coax it into a weapon with a simple string of commands. She’s also a guardian—Vane’s guardian—and has sworn an oath to protect Vane at all costs. Even if it means sacrificing her own life.
When a hasty mistake reveals their location to the enemy who murdered both of their families, Audra’s forced to help Vane remember who he is. He has a power to claim—the secret language of the West Wind, which only he can understand. But unlocking his heritage will also unlock the memory Audra needs him to forget. And their greatest danger is not the warriors coming to destroy them—but the forbidden romance that’s grown between them.
I didn’t know that wind could be make such an interesting story. So I was very pleasantly surprised when I discovered this book with air elementals, or sylphs. Never knew they existed or could be so exiting! It was not long before I was blown away (yes pun intended ^^). It’s such a rich story that touches all kinds of subjects. We’ve got romance, self-awareness, loss and so much more. And it’s a definite page-turner, so an ideal book to help forget it’s once again Monday

Teaser
He placed down his pencil and walked across the floor toward me. The crackling energy I’d felt between us the night before when he’d stood over my bed returned now and grew with hot intensity as the space between us disappeared. I was not the only one noticing the sudden charge in the atmosphere between us. He stopped directly in front of me, and even with loud music bouncing off the walls, I could hear the unnaturally fast rhythm of his breathing.
He hesitated a moment and then his hand came up slowly and brushed the hair off my face. His fingertips had only grazed my cheek, but I felt the sensation of his touch through my entire body. He looked back at me as if he’d smoothed his hands over every inch of my skin. The air between us heated and what had started out as a casual session between an artist and his subject had somehow erupted into something completely different.
